Way beginner-friendly, for photoshop.  No curves, no selective coloring, so totally translatable.  We're making this:

1. I'm starting with this photo that I found on graffitiwallpaper.com, but it's originally by CSP at stock.xchng.

2. You might want to duplicate you base and set it so screen, or maybe even soft light if your photo is dark, but the lighting in this one is absolutely amazing, so I'm leaving it alone.

3. Go to Layer->New Fill Layer->Solid Color and click ok.  Then type 2A4230 into the hex field (the field with the # sign to its left).  Set the layer to Overlay.  In case anyone's curious, I usually determine my fill colors by the old 'guess and check' method.  I knew I wanted a dark greenish-gray, so I picked one, and then kept moving around until I found the one I liked the best.

4. Apply this light texture by [profile] graphic_sl, set it to screen, and move it around until you like where is positioned.  I also duplicated it and then overlapped the two, erasing the orbs I thought made it look too crowded.

5. Apply this texture by [profile] sanami276, also setting to screen, and erasing the parts you don't want.  Move it around until you like where the text is positioned.  Again, I duplicated and put one layer near the middle and one near the bottom.

6. Flatten your layers, by going to Layer->Flatten Image.  Save it as a PNG, because JPGs suck.

7. Feel free to comment with questions, although I do not promise I will know the answers ^.^ Also, please post a link to what you've made!
