The handwriting font on the header is gorgeous. What is it and how do I get my grubby little hands on it? :P

Thanks! I love Romeo + Juliet. Such an amazing movie. I re-watched it a little while ago (the inspiration for the iconning), and when I watched the special features I was shocked to find out that it didn't get good reviews when it came out. Really? I mean, I feel it's amazingly done and a very important milestone in cinema history! Anyway, thanks for commenting ^.^

I just watched it for the first time this year and the soundtrack was the part that blew me away. Like the almost 'Love Theme' for them: #1 Crush by Garbage, is one of my favorite Garbage songs ever. But I also have to say some of the effects were kinda cheesy. The big uproar in my English class (thats where I was assigned to watch it), was that there was no blood when Claire Daines (Juliet) shot herself. I wasn't complaining, I loved it, I love the movie, but that is where my classmates turned on the movie.

Yeah, it always irked me a little that there wasn't it was a nice clean shot with a tiny little trickle, but the whole film is artistic and not exactly literal. I just love it so much ^.^

everyone was like "WHERE'S THE CLOUD OF MIST COMING OUT OF THE SIDE OF HER HEAD!"
it was gross, yet hilarious bc these two guys, (one them is like one of my best friends) were totally serious about wanted to see splatter. but it looked like they had a cap gun and she had to flick a cap in the side of her head from the fake gun which was kinda lame.
and i agree that its artistic. there aren't enought art left in film. it's all about murder and rape and cutting ppl apart in cages. its gross and just breeds crime.

I love the colors in the movie. I just think the whole thing was so bright and exotic and so 1990s. It's like a little time capsule. And there really isn't enough art in film! We don't get anything but the same 3 recycled storylines over and over. We need more literature turned into film. And it doens't count when they completely mutilate it.

That is why I love old movies. Have you seen Bell, Book, and Candle? That's a great old movie. The 90's were great for movies, like You've Got Mail
Also, I see to the right you're reading The Lovely Bones. I can't get through it. (I tried but I got ill when i was reading it. Just like this emense feeling of gloom.) I heard Peter Jackson was turnig it into a movie.

The first time I read it I did all right. I'm re-reading it now and I keep crying every 10 pages or so, but I know that it's really beautiful in the second half. You really should try again. I don't know how it will translate to film, though.

If you really want to read something sad, Alice Sebold's memoir, "Lucky," will absolutely turn your stomach. And you'll never want to look at a man again. So maybe for a really sunny day in at the beach or something ^.^
